The Best You Can Do Is "Tastic"?: The annual Riverfest charity event benefits the Broad River Watershed Association, a Madison County environmental organization. The day-long event's held 20 minutes up the road at the Broad River Outpost in Danielsville, GA. This year's Riverfest, beginning at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 25 and costing $5, will feature a kayak race, water slide and general outdoor merriment. Music performance kicks off at 7 p.m.; this year you'll find the raptastic Fairmount Fair, groovetastic Lionz, funktastic Papa Funk and guitartastic Marler Brothers. Food's for sale, but BYOB, y'all, and B lots of it - overnight camping is available. For specific info and directions call the outpost at 795-3242.
